Swedish heat networks suppliers took centre stage at ecobuild 2018

A couple of weeks ago, Ecobuild 2018 closed its doors after a hugely successful three days – which saw tens of thousands of industry professionals visit the exhibition to explore the latest innovations in the build environment, where Swedish Heat Networks suppliers took centre stage in the dedicated District Energy area.

Heat Networks – Sustainability by Sweden hosted the District Energy Area together with the UK Decentralised Energy Association (ukDEA) and Denmark, bringing together over 50 exhibitors and more than 100 industry experts in the stands, lounge areas and dedicated conference programme. Topics covered in the conference programme included:

  • Putting the Heat Networks customer in focus
  • How to deliver a scheme – exploring possible solutions
  • Design excellence and innovation

Heat Networks also hosted a Swedish heat networks pavilion with a strong presence of more than 20 Swedish companies, who exhibited or visited during Ecobuild 2018. The pavilion provided a central meeting point for exhibiting and visiting members’ alike and facilitated business dialogues. Among the exhibiting companies you could find Bio-Nordic, Elgocell, ESBE, Essco Controls, HL Hydronics, Meva Energy and Noda Intelligent Systems. Other Swedish suppliers and organisations within the district energy area who visited or participated in the conference were Alfa Laval, FVB, Hotspot Global, Mittel, Ngenic, NordHeat, Nordic Heat, Powerpipe, Regin, Sweco, SWEP, Wideco, ÅF Energy, Elvaco and the Swedish Energy Agency.

The Swedish presence at Ecobuild shows the strong commitment Sweden has to the UK market. It further shows that Sweden’s long experience of working with heat networks has contributed to having strong actors all along the supply chain – from consultancies and CHPs to heat interface units, pipes and digital optimisation systems.
