SHC by Sweden delegation to NRW in connection to E-World

On 9–10 February 2026, a Swedish business delegation focusing on sustainable heating and cooling visited North Rhine‑Westphalia (NRW) in Germany in connection with the E‑World Energy & Water Trade Fair in Essen.

The two‑day program combined roundtable discussions, company pitches, a tech showcase at the Swedish Energy Pavilion, and targeted B2B meetings with German municipal utilities and infrastructure providers.

The visit to NRW centered on practical solutions for the decarbonization of heating and cooling systems, with relevance for German municipalities currently developing and implementing local heat plans. During a dedicated roundtable session, participants discussed challenges and opportunities related to waste heat recovery, circular energy systems, digital customer integration, and optimization of district heating networks. These discussions enabled an open exchange between Swedish technology providers and German utilities on how to move from long‑term climate targets to scalable, projects.

On the second day, the delegation participated in E‑World Energy & Water, where Swedish companies presented their solutions during a Tech Showcase & Networking Event at the Swedish Energy Pavilion. In parallel, a series of  B2B meetings enabled Swedish companies to engage directly with German utilities and infrastructure operators. These meetings focused on concrete use cases, project pipelines, and next steps for potential cooperation.

Sustainable Heating & Cooling by Sweden will continue to support the connections established during the delegation and explore further activities with German partners to accelerate the deployment of efficient, climate‑neutral heating and cooling solutions across Europe.
